I recently bought a playhouse off Facebook Marketplace and refinished it. I love the modern white and black look! It makes for a great palette when decorating for the holidays.

For Christmas, I’ve chosen to go with a Grinch theme! I already had the garland, 6ft Christmas tree and gift boxes so just needed to find the Grinch features. Hobby Lobby was my go to with their wide selection ang great prices!

I love how this looks after the sun goes down! The soft glow of the Christmas lights and reflection off the bulbs is so pretty and inviting. I’ve added a smart plug (genius invention) so the lights automatically turn on and off every night.

When putting ornaments in garland and Christmas trees I like to start with the largest ones first. After placing every couple ornaments I take a step back to make sure there’s balance in spacing, color and bulb style. I used black pipe cleaners to twist the ornaments on the branches to be sure they were secure to withstand the outside elements.

Also, I took out the bottom layer of the tree (which was mostly just the trunk,) and placed the remaining height of the tree into the base to have the branches be closer to the ground for a more natural look.

    Jack loves his playhouse and was super excited to check out all the Grinch decorations! Anybody else decorating their kids’ playhouse for Christmas this year?!
